"Let there be spaces in your togetherness" - Kahlil Gibran
I love these visuals from Stuff No One Told Me.
I particularly enjoyed this one today which reminds me of Murray Bowen's (one of the fathers in family therapy) idea of differentiation of self and boundaries. It is an amazing concept that another local therapist, Stephen Crippen, explains really well here. Give that a read for sure.
Are you able to have good boundaries with your family members? Or do you get caught into the messiness of family pressures and anxiety? Do you feel like you have a good level of interdependence?

oh man, i so struggle with this.
My dad is pretty much a hoarder and has huge issues with financials because of this and for some reason I FEEL GUILTY! Like it's my fault that they are the reason why they struggle with money. bah.
that and I have a whole slew of issues like this like that I have no relationship with my father.. or really even care to have one.
